Zafferano 250 may initiate a new era of power scooters in India after the expected launch. The design of the Zafferano 250 is inspired from the European styling and powered by a 249.7cc, single-cylinder short-stroke engine, producing 21 Hp of power and 20.83 Nm of torque.
The drive is carried out by the continuously variable transmission (CVT) gearbox and the scooter weighs 155 Kg approximately.
The monster scooter has a larger wheelbase of 1488 mm and possess a 14 inch wheels, which is comparable with the Maruthi Swift. The 120/70 section in the front and 140/60 sized rear tyres are the tyre specifications.
Up front is the conventional telescopic forks and the rear is the single step adjustable shocks. The braking units are expected to be powerful, and a dual disc feature in the front and the rear wheel is anchored by the single disc.
As the capacity of the engine is higher, the fuel supplied to the engine is made with the bigger fuel tank of 12 litres. The Benelli Zafferano 250 top speed is expected to match the quarter liter segment motorcycles, but the best rival can be the Yamaha X-max 250.

The digital console of the Zafferano 250 is a twin share LED cluster. The unit has a speedometer, tachometer and more functionalities.
The price of the Zafferano 250 is expected to be around INR 2.20 Lakh and Benelli will price the scooter more competitive.
Premium scooters like Piaggio Vespa 150 and Aprilia SR 150 are already doing well in India and the potential scooter like Benelli Zafferano may get a good start.
