Yamaha R3 recalled for the third time
Yamaha R3 is one of the most impulsive performance oriented motorcycle delivered by the Japanese two wheeler manufacture. The R15 is the most affordable performance bike, while the Yamaha R3 is the bigger brother of it.
As the riders expect more about the Yamaha R3, the company recalls this time for the third time for the after sales changes. This time the reason is even more puny, that it recalls only the R3 motorcycles that are sold in the United States and Canada regions.
The reason is, the Yamaha R3 that are sold in Canada has the United States certification labels, while the US sold R3 has the Canadian label. The Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN) of the respective vehicle are now corrected and thus the issues regarding the service, insurance and sales are neutralized.
The replacement of the respective labels is easily done by the Dealers.
Yamaha R3 Engine and Gearbox
The performance of the Yamaha YZF R3 is obtained directly from the 321cc, dual cylinder, 4-stoke, double overhead camshaft, 4-valve engine. The engine can produce 42 Bhp @ 10750 rpm of maximum power and 29.6 Nm @ 9000 rpm of peak torque.
The engine transmission is managed by the six-speed gearbox.
Yamaha Claims that the innovative fuel injection system of the R3 can contain a mileage of 30 Kmpl possibly. Weight reduction for the Yamaha YZF R3 is attained through the diamond chassis and is tough helping the R3 to perform well in the corners
Suspension, brake and tyre
The R3 uses the KYB forks in the front and the rear side is the seven step pre-adjustable mono shock.
The braking specification of the Yamaha R3 is the 298 mm disc in the front and the rear wheel is attached to the 220 mm disc.
The front tyre of the R3 measures 110/70-17M/C 54H and the rear measures about 140/70-17M/C 66H.
