New Bajaj Pulsar 160NS launched
Bajaj Pulsar 160NS is launched. The Company can no longer subsist with the classic pulsar 150 to maintain its reputation about its 150cc segment. Though, the Pulsar era began with the classic Pulsar, now the condition is aggravated in the 150cc segment demanding more from this segment.
Understanding the growing rivalry activities from the other motorcycle manufacturers, Bajaj started to work showcasing the Pulsar 160NS in the motor show held in Turkey last December.
The Naked Sport Pulsar gained wide popularity among the naked bike lovers, when the 200NS was launched in the beginning. To continue the heat, now Bajaj is almost ready to launch the younger version of Pulsar 160NS to vibrate the 150cc segment again.
The Pulsar 160NS gets the whole lot juice from the 200NS regarding its external design of the 2017 model. With the new paint scheme and fuel tank graphics, the 160NS appears more attractive.
The price of the Pulsar 160NS is expected to be INR. 82,000 (Ex-Show room price) and Bajaj is expected to set the price even more competitive.
The pulsar 160NS is powered by the 160 cc, single cylinder, oil cooled, 4 stroke engine with the BS IV compliance engine. The new 160NS gets an improved power (15.5 PS at 8500 RPM) and torque values (14.6 NM at 6500 RPM) and weighs 142 Kgs.
The 160NS is available in three color options, Saffire Blue, Passion Red and Glossy Pewter Grey.
The front side is the conventional telescopic forks and the rear side is the single mono shock with a canister attached.
The braking systems are petal shaped disc unit in the front, while the rear unit is the drum brake.
But, Bajaj manages to offer rear disc with ABS power for the international units.
It is also noteworthy, that the TVS is also preparing the new generation Apache RTR 160 following the same design applied to the Apache 200.
The game will get head to head when PULSAR 160NS and APACHE RTR 160 are in action.
