Bajaj has registered the name “ADVENTURER” to be used for its upcoming adventure model motorcycle, which is mostly expected to be the other variant of the Dominar 400. Bajaj Adventurer can be of any style, while the guesses are likely to be a scrambler or the modified look of a Dominar.
The Bajaj Adventurer is always correlated with the design of Dominar 400 with the time of known. However, Bajaj has always been in the pursuit of overtaking the KTM with similar motorcycles, but at the affordable range. For example, Pulsar NS200 matches Duke 200, Dominar 400 matches Duke 390, Pulsar RS200 rival RC200.
Based on this scenario, the recently announced KTM 390 Adventure model may get matched with the Bajaj Adventurer. But, making the Adventurer model with a few modifications on the existing Dominar 400 will be a lot more cost cutting factor for the company.
Currently the Royal Enfield Himalaya is the only choice for the adventurous type bike, but constantly reported for the bad experience among the riders. As there are many adventure motorcycle models are getting ready by the popular brands to be launched in India, the Bajaj Adventurer can get an adventure model look.
The currently available Bajaj Dominar is getting an engine of 373.3cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled system. The engine is producing a maximum power of 35 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 35 Nm @ 6500 rpm. The engine is connected to a 6-speed gearbox for the transmission purpose.
The engine specification of the Bajaj Dominar 400 is almost similar to that of the KTM Duke 390. The engine of the Bajaj Adventurer may get few tweaks for the improved performance for managing the off road.
The major point of the sales of any of the motorcycle is the price range and Bajaj has priced the Dominar 400 very competitive. The same trend is again expected to the newly registered Adventurer model.
The price range of 1.4 lakh for Dominar is the sweetest part, and the new Adventurer model can be slightly priced higher of 1.7 lakh for its additional components.
