Suzuki Gixxer 2017 models in India
Suzuki Gixxer 2017 models are the most welcomed motorcycles from the Suzuki specifically for the Indian roads. The high traffic roads and the Safety leakage can now be regulated to harmless with the help of newly added features of the Suzuki Gixxer 2017 models.
The Gixxer and Gixxer SF 2017 models are now available and upgraded with the Automatic Headlight On (AHO) and BS IV compliant. The new feature takes the Gixxer and Gixxer SF to the new level in the 150 cc segment. However, the Honda Hornet 160r, who is the best all time rival of the Gixxer is the first motorcycle in the 150cc segment to feature the BS IV compliant.
The Gixxer and Gixxer SF 2017 joins the group of Eco friendly motorcycles and has low emission.
The Suzuki Gixxer (Double disc ₹ 80,761; Single disc ₹ 77,566) and Gixxer SF models (Non Fi ₹ 89,428 Suzuki Gixxer SF Fi: ₹ 93,365) are sold at the same price with INR 1000 extra.
Outlook and design
The 2017 model of Gixxer and Gixxer SF remains almost the same on their exterior features, but has a few changes on the body graphics. The popular SUZUKI branding on the fuel tank side wise is now changed as GIXXER.
The fuel tank curves, side panels, Headlight, seat set up, grab rails and a lot more of the Suzuki Gixxer 2017 models copies from the 2016 model. But, the BS IV compliant and the automatic headlight on feature are the elite ones in the 2017 models.
Engine and gearbox
The Gixxer 2017 models have a 155 cc, single cylinder, air cooled 4 stroke engine capable of producing 14.6 BHP @ 8,000 rpm of maximum power and 14 NM @ 6,000 rpm of peak torque.
The engine is tweaked to produce the same power but with improved throttle response. The engine is mated with the same 5 speed gearbox and the gear ratios keeps the same feel of the 2016 models.
Top speed and mileage
The Suzuki gixxer 2017 models receive no changes on their engine specification and are expected to produce the same mileage (42-45 Kmpl) and top speed values (0-60 in 5.61 Secs and 0-100 in 18.91 Secs).

The front side of the 2017 Gixxer and Gixxer SF models features the same conventional telescopic forks and the rear side is managed by the single mono shocks.
The 266 mm at the front and the 240 mm disk on the rear are the braking department specifications of the Gixxer and Gixxer SF 2017 models.
The tyre specification of the Gixxer 2017 models keeps the same 100/80-R17 in front and 140/60-R17 section in the rear.

Both disk and drum brake version offers these colours.
