Mahindra Cevalo – Overview
The active commuters of India always look forward to the most crucial part of the motorcycles is the fuel economy. Undoubtedly, the motorcycle that satisfies the mileage lovers is the 100 and 125 cc motorcycles. Especially, the bikes that have both the fuel economy and style appearance always gains more popularity and sales. Mahindra has decided to full fill the thirst of fuel economy and external designs through its new 125cc product, called Mahindra Cevalo. The new motorcycle from Mahindra has great look flaunting like a higher capacity bike. Mahindra Cevalo will compete against the Honda Shine, Bajaj discover and TVS Victor.
Outlook and design
The Cevalo is designed to get the majestic appearance in the 125cc segment, which none of the bike offers. The bike has a large fuel tank with the well planned air shrouds covering the engine offers more air flow to the engine head. Further, the air scoops are attached with the side indicators, which is to the next level.
The Cevalo overall stance hefty and robust, which is not the usual part of the 125 cc engine armed motorcycles. Take a look at the large metal chamber exhaust and the split step up seat, those features are even missing in some of the 150cc motorcycles.
Cevalo comes with a short indicators of the new shape, which is different. The front headlight resembles the Yamaha FZ model, but has a cute and sharp visor on it. The clip on handle bar is missing in the Cevalo as the conventional bar type handle is spotted.
Overall the Mahindra Cevalo possibly to be a good treat for the daily commuting and styling on the other hand.
Engine of Mahindra Cevalo
The best part of the motorcycle is the 125 cc engine, which has the potential to produce 15 BHP of maximum power. The engine is powered by the single cylinder, SOHC, 4 valve, 4 stoke, air cooled system powered by fuel injection technology.
The 15 BHP of the Mahindra Cevalo is even near to some popular 150 cc motorcycles and its quite surprising. The incorporation of the fuel injection system may get changed at the time of launch as per the company decision or can reflect in the extra charge on pricing.
The fuel tank is about to fill 14 liters of fuel at a time and can offer a mileage of around 50 Kmpl or slightly higher.
The Mahindra Cevalo features a single disc brake at the front and conventional drum set up at the rear. The type of petal shaped disk of modern character is not included and double disk may not be an option available.
The Cevalo employs the conventional telescopic forks at the front, while the rear side is managed by the mono shock absorber.
The Mahindra Cevalo uses the analog and digital combination cluster. The Tachometer being analog and has a round shaped frame attached to the digital unit having room for the Speedometer, Tripmeter and other parameters.
Price of Mahindra Cevalo
The price of Cevalo will be the best in its class, as the motorcycle is developed by the indigenous motorcycle maker. With Fi feature included, the Cevalo can be priced approximately ₹65,000 Ex-show room price. The price of the vehicle is subject to variation at the time of launch.
