KTM Unveils KTM 250 EXC TPI and KTM 300 EXC TPI (Fi, 2-stroke Engine)
KTM 250 EXC TPI and KTM 300 EXC TPI
KTM has planned to manufacture adventure motorcycles of entry level segment powered by the 2-stroke engine and Fuel Injection (Fi) supported (TPI fuel-injection system) system. KTM 250 EXC TPI and KTM 300 EXC TPI are the two motorcycles about to get manufactured in a larger scale for the European market.
The Electronic Fi system tends to help the 2-stroke motorcycles to meet out the engine refinement without losing the grunt, while on the other hand improves fuel efficiency.
The clever engine management system of the KTM 250 EXC TPI and KTM 300 EXC TPI monitors all the crucial movements and requirements of the motorcycles. The pressure of the intake air, throttle level and the temperature of the oil and water are calculated accordingly for the better fuel mixture and ignition.
KTM 250 EXC TPI is powered by the 249 cc 2-stroke engine and the KTM 300 EXC TPI feature a 293.2 cc engine, while both the engines are connected to their respected six speed gearbox.

KTM has kept the marks high with the incorporation of top notch spares like lithium-ion battery, Brembo powered braking systems and KTM’s famous white performance Xplor 48 upside down forks at the front and rear.
Both the two stroke motorcycles of the company weigh 103 Kg without the fluid inside (Dry weight)
Two stroke engines for India???
India has already banned the BS3 compliant engines followed by the production of two stroke engines long ago. Though, the KTM’S upcoming two stroke motorcycles like KTM 250 EXC TPI and KTM 300 EXC TPI are more of a technology, it cannot be brought to India.
But, KTM has done a great job about the two stroke motorcycles and promises to offer the best feel of the carburetor fed engine with the Fi support for avoiding the pre-mix of the fuel and the change of the jets according to the environment.
