Hero Xtreme 200S launch soon
Hero MotoCorp with the improved sales recorded in the month of April and June 2017 scale (6.2%), the company has now planned to launch the Flagship Motorcycle Hero Xtreme 200S by the end of 2017.
The Xtreme 200S was first showcased at the Auto Expo 2016 and created huge optimism about the launch plan. To tag with the launch expectation, the Hero MotoCorp hinted about the near launch of a 200cc variant motorcycle, which is likely to be the Xtreme 200S.
As the Hero MotoCorp alliance with the Eric Buell Racing preparing to launch the HX250R, the Xtreme 200S is the naked commuter motorcycle.
As per the media concern, an official person with respect to the development stated that:
“Having maintained its leadership in motorcycles, Hero is now looking at further consolidating the pole position with an enhanced focus on premium bike segment and scooters”
Hero MotoCorp is also getting ready to launch a scooter Aava this fiscal year and a couple of new scooter variants for the next financial year.
The Hero Xtreme 200S is based on the combination of the 150cc Xtreme and Hunk aspects. Specifically, the fuel tank and the shrouds get a slight modification of the Hunk and the rear section reminiscent the Hero Xtreme.
Powering the Hero Xtreme 200S is the 200 cc single cylinder, air-cooled, four stroke engine. The mill is capable to produce 18.6 PS @ 8,500 RPM of maximum power and 17.2 NM @ 6,000 RPM of peak torque.
The Hero Xtreme 200S gets a conventional telescopic fork at the front on the cutting corners and a mono shock unit in the rear. Braking systems are the disc units on both the ends.
