BMW R1200GS recalled for Inspection
The BMW R1200GS, the adventure kind motorcycle from the BMW is recalled globally, including the bikes sold through the dealers in India for a general service inspection. However, it is noteworthy, that the BMW R1200GS faces problem in the suspension department which is reported internationally. In some parts, it is even reported to face serious accidents and Injuries.
The BMW GS1200, which was sold during November 2013 to June 2017 are majorly targeted for this inspection.
The inner fork tube of the respective models tends to form a gap gradually between the tube and the top seal plugs. The gap created thus causes pulling away off, leads to bad handling and accidents.
This includes all the GS adventure models including the top end version of the motorcycle which was sold in 1.5 lakh units worldwide.
To make the situation under control, the BMW R1200GS and the Adventure model sold in India were also recalled for the inspection.
